"Bare fruit for all to taste, but save some for yourself for the coming winter." - Leigh Bowery. "I met Leigh Bowery in London in 1986 at a party he hosting. We stayed in contact and in 1987 he visited NYC and came to my studio for a portrait. He gave me the quote above to go along with this image - which I published in 1988 in FAD magazine along with portraits of Lady Bunny, Connie Fleming, Chiclet, Ru Paul and Chiklet. This photo was also published in the book, 'Leigh Bowery' by Robert Violette, Violette Editions in 1998." - Austin Young

A museum-quality giclée print by legendary L.A. artist and photographer Austin Young. With a body of work that challenges conceptions of gender, beauty, and their nexus, the “pin-up,” Young’s photos are not only provocative, they push the boundaries of acceptance.
